ChadCounting
A Discord counting bot designed to keep collaborative counting accurate through interruptions and disruptive behaviour.
Jan 2023 – Present
ChadCounting is a Discord counting bot that I developed and maintain to enhance collaboration and fun on servers. It allows users to engage in a counting game by following specific rules and counting from 1 to infinity together. Unlike other bots, ChadCounting ensures accurate counting and prevents issues commonly encountered with other bots.
One of the notable features of ChadCounting is its catch-up capability. If the bot or Discord goes offline temporarily, ChadCounting catches up on missed counts and notifies users accordingly. This feature provides peace of mind, allowing users to continue counting without interruption.
ChadCounting also includes unique features like temporary bans for counting mistakes, with severity determined by an exponential U-curve. It has built-in troll prevention to discourage disruptive behavior that may hinder the count. Additionally, the bot keeps track of user and server statistics, including correct and incorrect counts, as well as high scores.
